Job Description
Senior Quality Consultant
n Lead transformational quality initiatives in a growing, highly regulated manufacturing environment.
n Are you an experienced Quality qualified who enjoys building systems, driving compliance, and delivering meaningful organisational change?
n Hoban Recruitment is partnering with a leading Australian manufacturing business to recruit aSenior Quality Consultantfor a newly created 12-month contract. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in strengthening quality systems, improving compliance frameworks, and supporting a business undergoing significant transformation.
n Based inCarrum Downs, this position offers the opportunity to influence strategic quality outcomes while working closely with senior leadership.
n
The Opportunity
n
This is not a traditional Quality Assurance role.
n You'll be the most senior quality specialist on site, taking a consultative and advisory approach to reviewing existing systems, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing sustainable quality and compliance frameworks across the business.
n Working alongside an established QA team, you'll provide technical leadership, mentor team members, and partner with stakeholders to ensure quality systems meet both customer and regulatory expectations.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Conduct a comprehensive review and gap analysis of existing quality and compliance systems
n
- Assess current processes against future business and regulatory requirements
n
- Identify compliance risks and recommend practical improvement strategies
n
- Develop and deliver an implementation road mapfor quality system enhancements
n
- Lead quality improvement projects over a nine-month implementation period
n
- Build, improve and standardise quality management systems, policies and procedures
n
- Support customer audits and ensure ongoing regulatory compliance
n
- Investigate customer quality concerns and oversee corrective and preventative actions (CAPA)
n
- Provide coaching and technical guidance to the Quality team
n
- Partner with operational leaders to embed continuous improvement and quality best practice
n
n
About You
n
You are a strategic quality professional who enjoys solving complex problems, influencing stakeholders, and building quality systems that create lasting business improvement.
n To be successful, you'll ideally bring:
n
n
- Extensive experience within Quality Assurance, Quality Systems or Compliance
n
- Strong knowledge of GMP and quality management systems
n
- Proven experience conducting quality gap analyses and implementing improvement programs
n
- Experience interpreting quality standards and translating them into practical business processes
n
- Strong auditing capability across GMP and/or ISO environments
n
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
n
- Experience working with regulated customers and managing customer audits
n
- A tertiary qualification in Science, Quality, Technical or a related discipline
n
- Experience using PECS (essential)
n
n
Highly regarded
n
n
- Pharmaceutical manufacturing experience
n
- Clean room manufacturing environments
n
- Textile, garment or industrial manufacturing experience
n
- Experience within highly regulated industries
n
n
