About the role

The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for analysing the company's transport, parcel distribution and delivery operations to identify opportunities to improve route efficiency, delivery performance, resource utilisation and overall supply chain effectiveness. The position analyses operational and delivery data, evaluates existing distribution processes and recommends improvements to routes, workflows and resource allocation to support efficient and reliable transport and delivery operations.

Key responsibilities

- Collect and analyse transport, parcel and delivery data to identify trends, operational inefficiencies, bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement across the distribution network.

- Analyse the performance of existing delivery routes, including parcel volumes, delivery times, route capacity, service areas and operational constraints.

- Evaluate planned versus actual route performance and investigate the causes of delivery delays, route inefficiencies and variations in operational performance.

- Analyse historical and projected parcel volumes to identify changes in demand and recommend appropriate adjustments to route capacity and distribution arrangements.

- Review the allocation of delivery areas and routes and recommend changes to improve route efficiency, workload distribution and utilisation of transport resources.

- Develop and recommend route optimisation strategies based on parcel volumes, delivery locations, operational data, geographical coverage and available capacity.

- Analyse supply chain and distribution processes from parcel receipt and sorting through to dispatch and final delivery to identify opportunities for improving workflow and operational efficiency.

- Monitor key performance indicators relating to transport and distribution operations, including delivery completion rates, route performance,



delivery delays, parcel volumes, capacity utilisation and service efficiency.

- Prepare analytical reports, performance summaries and recommendations for the Logistics Performance Supervisor and Supply & Distribution Manager.

- Conduct ongoing reviews of transport and distribution performance and recommend continuous improvements to support the company's operational and service objectives.

About you

- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Operations Management, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.

- At least 3 years of proven experience in a Supply Chain Analyst, Logistics Analyst, Distribution Analyst, or similar analytical role.

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret operational, transport, delivery, and supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.

- Experience analysing supply chain, distribution, transportation, or delivery operations and developing data-driven recommendations to improve performance and efficiency.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools, with the ability to prepare reports, dashboards, and performance summaries for management.

- Knowledge of supply chain processes, route planning, logistics operations, capacity management, and performance measurement principles.

- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes of operational issues and recommend practical solutions.

- Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across operational and management teams.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver accurate analysis in a quick-paced operational environment.

- Experience working in transport, logistics, courier, parcel delivery, warehousing, or distribution environments will be highly regarded.
