The Melbourne Eastern Private Hospital offers a New Rehabilitation wing, new allied health gym, and hydrotherapy.

THE ROLE
We are currently seeking Senior Registered Nurses -part time 0.6 FTE or Full time to join our excellent nursing team for Morning, Afternoon, Night Duty and weekends.
DUTIES
- Provide safe and efficient nursing care specific to each patient’s clinical, physical and psych-social needs.
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in conjunction with comprehensive care plans.
- Supervise the health, safety, nutrition, hygiene and comfort of the patient.
- Respect all patient requests and beliefs and communicate to members of the health care team.
- Ensure accurate and informed handovers take place to provide continuous care of patients.
- Confidence to address issues within abilities but escalate as needed
- Support manager/staff as needed
- Assist with orientation of current staff
- Ensure good clinical documentation
- Good model behavior in patient care, infection prevention and control, and general patient management.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
To be successful in the role you will need:
- At least 5 years and above of experience in a hospital setting in Australia
- Current AHPRA registration
- Permanent residency status
- Current Police Check
- Current flu vaccine
- Demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated effective organizational and time management skills
- Demonstrated effective written and verbal communications skills and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
