Senior Project Engineer | Major Infrastructure Projects

About the Client Our client is a long-standing civil contractor with a reputation for delivering major infrastructure projects. Operating with a direct-delivery model, they own and manage key civil packages in-house, offering team members a hands-on building environment and long-term career stability backed by a solid project pipeline.

Role Overview The client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to lead major civil delivery scopes across high-profile projects. Reporting to the Project Manager, this position oversees self-performed works from planning through to site execution, ensuring safety, quality, and commercial outcomes are strictly met.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead technical planning and site delivery for direct civil packages, including earthworks, drainage, utility relocations, Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), and car park construction.

- Manage direct labor, plant allocations, and subcontractor activities to meet critical program milestones.

- Drive project financial controls, including variations, progress claims, cost forecasting, and subcontractor procurement.

- Oversee quality management systems, site inspections, and compliance with project design specifications.

- Interface directly with clients, authorities,



and key project stakeholders to resolve technical challenges on site.

Candidate Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent tertiary qualification.

- Demonstrated history working for civil contractors on major infrastructure projects.

- Strong hands-on background in self-performing civil packages (earthworks, deep drainage, services, ITS, or pavements/car parks).

- Proven commercial acumen with experience managing budget forecasts, claims, and scope variations.

- Clear leadership capability with a track record of driving site safety and team performance.
