About the Role
We have a great chance for an experienced Service Sprinkler Fitter to join our Sydney Wet Fire Division.
This role is ideally suited to a qualified and experienced Sprinkler Fitter with strong technical knowledge and a hands-on approach. Working across a variety of commercial sites, you will be responsible for the inspection, testing, servicing, maintenance and repair of fire sprinkler and hydrant systems.
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, working 8-hour days. Start and finish times may vary depending on operational and site requirements. Overtime and on-call opportunities are also available when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspecting, testing, servicing and maintaining fire sprinkler and hydrant systems.
- Carrying out repairs, replacements and rectification works across a range of fire protection systems and equipment.
- Diagnosing faults and identifying defects or non-compliance issues.
- Completing routine preventative maintenance in accordance with relevant Australian Standards and client requirements.
- Conducting flow tests, pressure testing and other required system testing.
- Assisting with system repairs, modifications and minor works where required.
- Identifying required rectification works and providing relevant information to assist with quotations.
- Completing service reports,
test results and other documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Liaising with Service Coordinators and clients to ensure works are completed efficiently and client requirements are met.
- Maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, compliance and customer service.
About You
To be successful for this role, you will have:
- Must be an Australian Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen.
- Must hold an NSW Drivers Licence.
- Licenced Sprinkler Fitter.
- Plumbing Licence is highly desirable.
- A strong understanding of Fire Sprinkler Design and construction plans.
- A strong understanding of AS2118 and building Fire Sprinkler Hazard classifications.
- Knowledge of Australian Standards & BCA Codes.
- Proficiency in basic office software, with SimPRO experience highly regarded.
- Willingness to undergo a Working With Children Check, Australian Federal Police Check and Pre-Employment Medical.
