Fresh Meats is seeking a General Accountant to join our dynamic, fast-growing family-owned business based on the Sunshine Coast. You will be a self-motivated accounts team member working in a manufacturing setting, supporting our operations throughout Queensland.
Key responsibilities
- Payroll and expense approvals
- Accounts payable
- Accounts receivable
- Credit applications
- Reconciliation & reporting (BAS, month/yearend)
- Fixed asset register
- Records of financial documents
- Yield & margin management reporting & analysis
- Onboarding/offboarding through automated processes
- Collaboration with HR/RRTWC for Workcover
About you
- Qualifications and working knowledge of Accounting practices
- Understanding of Australian pay and tax requirements
- Proficiency with Xero, Excel
- Excellent attention to detail, initiative and problem-solving skills
- Comfort level in factory/manufacturing setting
- Effective communication with other department members, including overseas
