Indigenous Managed Services (IMS) is seeking an experienced Crèche Team Leader for a casual opportunity at North Metropolitan TAFE's Northbridge Campus.
We are looking for an experienced early childhood professional who can confidently lead and support a team while remaining hands-on and actively involved in the day-to-day operation of the crèche.
To be considered for this position, you MUST hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent) and have a minimum of 2 years' experience leading a team within an early childhood, childcare or crèche environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, support and provide day-to-day guidance to crèche educators
- Maintain an active and visible presence within the crèche
- Support the delivery of engaging and age-appropriate activities
- Ensure children are appropriately supervised and supported
- Coordinate daily staffing and operational requirements
- Build positive relationships with children, families and team members
- Complete relevant administration and record keeping
- Support staff induction and ongoing development
- Maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment
- Ensure policies, procedures and WHS requirements are followed
- Communicate effectively with management regarding staffing and operational matters
Essential Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years' demonstrated experience leading a team
- Previous experience working in an early childhood, childcare or crèche environment
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications
- National Police Clearance or ability to obtain one
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Good organisational and administrative skills
- Confidence managing day-to-day issues and supporting staff
- A hands-on, collaborative approach to leadership
