Brand New Early Learning Centre Opening near Caboolture | Founding Leadership Roles | Off‑the‑Floor

A brand‑new, purpose‑built early learning centre is opening near Caboolture and we’re assembling a founding leadership team that will set the tone, culture and quality of the service from day one. We are seeking an Educational Leader (ECT) and an Assistant Director / 2IC (Diploma), two pivotal roles that will work closely with the Centre Director to build a warm, professional and high‑performing environment for children, families and educators.

Both positions are off‑the‑floor roles (as ratios allow), giving you the space and autonomy to lead, mentor and drive quality without being pulled into daily room coverage.

Assistant Director / 2IC (Diploma)
As the Assistant Director / 2IC, you will be the operational backbone of the centre, supporting the Director with leadership, compliance, administration and team development.
Your responsibilities include:

- Supporting daily operations, compliance and centre management
- Building robust relationships with families, educators and the community
- Assisting with rostering, enrolments, documentation, reporting and administration
- Upholding high standards aligned with the EYLF, NQF and centre policies
- Contributing to a positive, collaborative and professional team culture
- Providing leadership support while remaining off the floor as ratios allow
- Acting as a role model for best practice, professionalism and communication
- Supporting the Director with strategic planning and centre growth

What We’re Looking For:

- Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (minimum)
- Minimum 2 years experience as a 2IC / Assistant Director
- Strong understanding of EYLF,



NQF and compliance requirements
- Current First Aid, CPR and Working With Children Check
- Excellent communication, organisation and leadership capability
- Full Australian working rights

Educational Leader (ECT)
As the Educational Leader, you will be the pedagogical driver of the centre. Your leadership will influence every room, every educator and every child’s learning journey.
Your responsibilities include:

- Leading the implementation of the EYLF, NQS, and contemporary best practice
- Mentoring and coaching educators to strengthen pedagogy, documentation and reflective practice
- Working collaboratively with the team to design innovative, child‑led programs
- Supporting educators with intentional teaching strategies and high‑quality curriculum decisions
- Playing a key role in the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) and centre‑wide quality initiatives
- Building strong, respectful partnerships with families to support continuity of learning
- Staying up to date with sector research, theory and emerging practice
- Contributing to a positive, professional and growth‑focused team culture

What We’re Looking For:

- Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (ECT) – ACECQA‑approved
- Minimum 1 year experience as an Educational Leader
- Strong pedagogical knowledge and confidence guiding others
- Excellent communication, coaching and leadership skills
- Full Australian working rights
