About the Role:
EHS Advisor to support the protected delivery of major renewable energy projects. Working closely with site leadership teams, you will play a key role in promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with WHS requirements and supporting safe work execution across site operations.
Location: Uungala wind farm located in Wellington NSW, approximately 1hour from Dubbo.
We will consider applicants for FIFO/DIDO or a local from anywhere along the Eastern seaboard.
Roster 3:1 roster with full 7 days R&R;
Flights & Share local housing accommodation included, site vehicle provided plus $75 daily per diem.
Contract length is 12 months initially with potential to extend for the project duration
Indicative Responsibilities
- Champion a proactive safety culture and lead by example on site.
- Ensure that all personnel are only assigned to work tasks they are trained/competent and physically able to complete safely
- Ensure all personnel are fit for the duty they are assigned, consider illness and medical conditions
- Support safe work planning through risk assessments, SWMS,
permits, and pre-start activities.
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and hazard identification activities.
- Facilitate toolbox talks, pre-task briefings, and safety meetings.
- Monitor compliance with site safety procedures and legislative requirements.
- Support incident reporting, investigations, and implementation of corrective actions.
- Assist with emergency preparedness and response activities.
- Stop and escalate unsafe work practices where required.
- Promote continuous improvement in health, safety, and environmental performance
About you
- Minimum Diploma of OH&S;
- Demonstrated experience in a site-based EHS role within construction, renewables, energy, heavy industry, mining, or infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of risk management, permit-to-work systems, and safe work practices.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to influence positive safety behaviours across diverse workgroups
- Valid driver's license and White Card
- Intermediate MS Office skills
Desirable
- Previous experience on wind farm, renewable energy, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Experience working within high-risk environments
- GWO Basic Safety Training
- Willingness to travel and work in office and at port
