About the Role:
Reporting to the Managing Director, this Tax Manager role sits at the crossroads of team leadership and client delivery. You'll take ownership of two core areas:

- Leading the delivery function: Overseeing the quality, workflow and development of our offshore accounting pods, and acting as the final technical reviewer before sign-off.
- Managing your own client portfolio: Handling tax and compliance engagements end to end, acting as the trusted adviser and primary point of contact for your clients.

Your day-to-day will include:

- Own the workflow and capacity of multiple offshore accounting pods, keeping work on track and to standard
- Provide final technical review across income tax returns (individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships and SMSFs), BAS/IAS lodgements, financial statements and workpapers
- Run structured pod meetings, resolve blockers, coach on technical matters, and hold the team accountable to deadlines and quality
- Build offshore team capability in Australian tax, GST and compliance through mentoring and structured feedback
- Flag capacity or workflow risks proactively to leadership
- Manage an assigned client portfolio end to end,



owning the relationship, commercials and outcomes
- Prepare and lodge income tax returns, and review accounting records, reconciliations and financial statements
- Develop and deliver tailored tax strategies, including Division 7A, trust distributions, CGT events and depreciation
- Oversee ASIC and ABR obligations, company secretarial requirements and annual reviews
- Support payroll compliance reviews and new entity set-ups

About You:

- CA ANZ or CPA Australia qualified (essential)
- 6+ years' experience in Australian public practice
- Strong technical knowledge across income tax, GST, CGT, FBT, Division 7A, trust structures and SMSFs
- Proven ability to lead, review and lift the standard of others' work through constructive feedback
- Confident running structured meetings and holding a team accountable across time zones and cultures
- Commercially minded, comfortable owning WIP, billing, recoverability and job profitability
- A clear communicator who can translate complex tax outcomes into plain language for clients
- Experienced in building long-term client relationships as a trusted adviser
- Exposure to Xero, Xero Practice Manager (XPM), Karbon, Ignition, Nowinfinity, Lightspeed Docs, Class, Dext, ASIC Connect and Google Workspace is highly regarded
