NEPEAN Power is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Mackay workshop and play a key role in delivering electrical solutions across mining, energy and infrastructure projects.
This opportunity is ideal for an engineer who wants to be based locally in Mackay, working on technically challenging projects without extensive site travel. About the Role
Reporting to the QLD State Manager, you'll:
- Lead electrical design, engineering studies and project delivery activities
- Provide technical leadership across multiple projects
- Ensure compliance with Australian Standards and industry requirements
- Support proposals, cost estimates and project planning
- Work closely with customers, suppliers and production teams
- Mentor and develop Project Engineers and Electrical Engineers
- Drive engineering improvements, standardisation and innovation initiatives
About You
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering
- 7+ years' experience in electrical design and/or project delivery
- Strong background in mining, industrial, energy or infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of Australian Standards and engineering best practice
- RPEQ registered or eligible (highly regarded)
- Solid leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Passion for safety, quality and continuous improvement
