We are seeking an experienced and passionate Diploma of Community Services Trainer to join our training team. This is an exciting prospect for an industry-experienced professional who is committed to supporting students to develop the knowledge, skills and confidence required for a successful career in community services. You will deliver engaging, high-quality training and assessment in accordance with the relevant Vocational Education and Training (VET) standards and our organisation's policies and procedures.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver engaging training and assessment for the Diploma of Community Services.
- Facilitate face-to-face and/or online classes.
- Develop and maintain quality learning and assessment resources.
- Provide constructive feedback and support to students throughout their studies.
- Assess student competency in accordance with training package requirements.
- Maintain accurate student records and assessment documentation.
- Participate in validation, moderation and continuous improvement activities.
- Maintain current industry knowledge and ensure training reflects contemporary community services practice.
- Support students from diverse backgrounds to achieve successful learning outcomes.
About you
- A relevant qualification at Diploma level or higher in Community Services or a related discipline.
- A current TAE qualification meeting the requirements for delivery and assessment in the VET sector.
- Relevant industry experience in community services.
- Experience delivering and assessing vocational education and training, preferably at Diploma level.
- Strong knowledge of the Australian Community Services sector.
- Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills.
- A student-focused approach and commitment to quality education.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative training team.
- Current knowledge of relevant legislation, standards and industry practices.
