We’re looking for an organised, proactive and people‑focused Event & Partnership Coordinator to help deliver high‑quality industry events — including the prestigious HIA Housing Awards, member information sessions and social events. If you thrive in a fast‑paced environment and love bringing events to life, this role is for you.
What you’ll do
- Support the delivery of national and regional events, including calendar planning, marketing, member enquiries and event logistics.
- Coordinate event materials such as invitations, ticketing, seating plans, handouts and attendance records, and assist with onsite setup and delivery.
- Source and confirm presenters, venues and suppliers; maintain accurate registrations and CPD allocations.
- Manage and grow the HIA Awards program, including entries, judging coordination, communications and media support.
- Achieve KPIs across attendance, award entries, expenditure and event profitability.
- In conjunction with the team, assist in implementing an events communications strategy to ensure timely & effective promotion of the events program to HIA members and non-members including invitations, htmls, EDMs, webtiles, magazine articles and inserts, telemarketing, electronic circulations and website content.
- Support the RED with the development of partnership revenue in line with budget and agreed partnership development initiatives to ensure profitability of events and other partnership funded activities
- Manage financial processes including invoicing, receipting,
CRM updates and accounts payable/receivable accuracy.
- Contribute to annual budget development and support the Business Partners and Building Women programs.

- Ability to remain calm and level headed under pressure and remain professional at all times whilst representing HIA
- Motivated, energetic and enthusiastic
- Self-motivated and the ability to work within a team environment
- Proven ability in developing and maintaining partnerships at a senior level and ensure delivery of partnership commitments
- Ability to identify and realise commercial opportunities
- Financial management and sales skills
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality at all times
- Experience with Events Air, CRM and Openwater events platforms will be highly regarded
