The Role

An opportunity exists for an experienced Banquet Duty Manager to join Novotel Sydney International Airport. You will have the chance to create an unforgettable guest experience. From intimate executive meetings to large-scale conferences and gala dinners, we are hiring for a passionate hospitality leader to oversee the seamless delivery of events.

What You Will Be Doing

- Coordinate event execution with the Food & Beverage Manager, Conference & Events team and Sales & Marketing team to deliver conferences and events

- Oversee event set-up, service delivery and pack down, ensuring every detail is executed to the highest standard

- Manage profit and loss by maintaining inventory, managing labour cost

- Assist the Food & Beverage Manager to meet operational and financial budgets

- Lead,



train and develop banquet operations Heartists

- Support reward and recognition within the department to maintain employee engagement and motivation

- Manage all activities and events for the department, before and after each event

- Liaise with guests during the event to ensure operational details and logistics are met

- Maintain accurate service and positive guest relations and ensure product offerings meet company quality standards

- Monitor inventory and maintain departmental equipment and presentation standards.

- Ensure the Work Health & Safety Act and company safety policies are endorsed
