The role

The Divisional Operations Manager for the Life and Private Health Insurance and Superannuation (LPHIS) Division supports the Business Manager in delivering effective business operations across the division, including leading a small team of Executive Assistants and Administration Coordinators.

The role contributes to a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement across the business support community. Enabling leadership effectiveness through operating rhythm execution, governance coordination, stakeholder engagement, business planning and the delivery of key divisional activities and initiatives.

The team

The Life and Private Health Insurance and Superannuation Division is responsible for the prudential supervision of life insurers, private health insurers and the trustees of superannuation funds in Australia. The division comprises three industry focused supervision branches and a specialist branch that operate across the country.

Key responsibilities

- Leading the division's Business Support Team through formal people leader responsibilities;
- Co-ordinate work and projects with other members of the division;
- Assisting the Business Manager in running the division and planning and executing divisional initiatives;
- Monitor actions, commitments and deliverables arising from leadership forums;
- Coordinate divisional and leadership team operating rhythms, including regular governance, planning and performance forums;
- Working with the Business Manager to lead the planning and delivery of team meetings, leadership forums, strategy sessions and divisional offsites;
- Support agenda development and capture key outcomes and action items;




- Support governance requirements relating to document management and information accessibility; and
- Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes and business effectiveness.
