We’re looking for a Safety Advisor to join our team and help us continue building a strong, proactive safety culture across Strait Link.

What You'll Be Doing

You’ll work alongside our leaders and frontline teams to strengthen safety across the business,



helping turn good intentions into practical action.

In this role, you will:

· Partner with operational leaders to strengthen safety leadership and accountability.

· Get out into the operation, build relationships and understand the challenges our teams face.

· Coach and support people to identify risks and embed safer ways of working.

· Lead incident investigations and turn lessons learned into meaningful action.

· Facilitate risk assessments and support the management of critical risks.

· Maintain and continuously improve our Safety Management System.

· Deliver safety initiatives, audits, reporting and training that actually add value.

· Support compliance with WHS legislation while keeping the focus on practical outcomes.

· Use data, observations and feedback to identify opportunities to improve.

· Build a culture where people feel comfortable speaking up, asking questions and taking ownership of safety.

About You

You’re someone who genuinely cares about safety, but you also understand that great safety outcomes come from people, not paperwork.

You’re confident having conversations, asking questions and challenging the status quo when something doesn’t look right. You can work with a senior leader one minute and a frontline operator the next, and you know how to turn safety requirements into practical solutions.

You’ll bring:

· Qualifications in Workplace Health & Safety, Occupational Health & Safety or a related discipline.

· Previous experience in a safety role, with a strong understanding of safety principles and practices.





· Knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and contemporary safety practices.

· Experience with Safety Management Systems, ideally DoneSafe or a similar platform.

· Robust communication, relationship-building and influencing skills.

· A practical, collaborative approach and the confidence to work across all levels of the business.

· Curiosity, initiative and a genuine desire to make things better.

You don’t need to have spent your entire career leading safety teams. We’re interested in people who have the right foundations, a passion for safety and the ability to build trust and influence positive change.

Experience in logistics, transport, warehousing, maritime or another high-risk operational environment will be highly regarded.
