The Opportunity

Radford College is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced English teacher to join the Secondary School team in a Permanent, fixed-term, full-time position commencing Term 1 2027.

Successful applicants will bring expertise in their teaching discipline and a commitment to inspiring students to achieve their personal best. About you

The successful candidate will be an energetic secondary educator who will have:

· Proven experience and expertise teaching in English across Years 7-12, with BSSS or Senior teaching experience highly regarded.

· A strong passion for teaching and learning and a commitment to student achievement and wellbeing





· The ability to create engaging, inclusive, and appropriately challenging learning environments that support the success of all students.

· A commitment to innovative teaching practices and the application of evidence-based pedagogical approaches.

· A collaborative and proactive approach to teamwork, contributing positively to departmental and whole-school initiatives.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, supported by strong organisational and time-management abilities.

· A willingness to actively support and participate in pastoral care and co-curricular programs, including camps, excursions, and other student activities.

· A strong commitment to safeguarding students and promoting their welfare and wellbeing.

· Alignment with and support for Radford College's strategic priorities and educational vision.

· A commitment to upholding and modelling Radford College's core values of Truth, Compassion, and Wisdom

Qualifications

· Teaching qualification recognised by the ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI)

· Current Teacher Quality Institute registration, including Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration

· Current First Aid Certificate, or willingness to obtain prior to commencement
