WSP's Mine Advisory team partners with clients across Australia and globally to deliver innovative mining solutions throughout the project lifecycle. As our project portfolio continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Principal Mining Engineer to join our team and play a key role in the delivery of complex mining studies, technical advisory projects, due diligence reviews, and mine design solutions across both underground and open pit operations.

As a Principal Mining Engineer you'll:

- Lead and deliver mining engineering projects across study phases including concept, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies.
- Develop mine designs, schedules, equipment selections, and capital and operating cost estimates, with a particular focus on underground coal mining projects.
- Oversee all aspects of project delivery, including proposals, contracts, scope management, technical quality, and project reviews.
- Provide technical input into due diligence reviews and support mergers and acquisitions activities.




- Support business development activities and identify growth opportunities.

What you'll bring:

- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of mining engineering experience.
- Experience in underground and/or open pit mining, with underground experience highly regarded.
- Advanced mine design and scheduling software skills.
- Excellent communication, report writing and stakeholder engagement skills.
