Food Technology Teacher (Years 7-12)
Position Type: Part-Time (0.8 FTE)

The Scots School Albury is seeking an enthusiastic, innovative and highly motivated Food Technology Teacher to join our dynamic Senior School community in a 0.8 FTE capacity.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator who is committed to fostering practical skills, creativity, critical thinking and healthy lifestyle choices through engaging and meaningful Food Technology education. The successful applicant will inspire students to develop confidence and independence while building their understanding of nutrition, food science, sustainability, design processes and contemporary food issues.

About the Role
The successful applicant will teach Food Technology across Years 7-12 and contribute to a vibrant learning environment where students are encouraged to explore, create and apply practical and theoretical knowledge.
The role will include:
- Teaching Food Technology across Stage 4, 5 and 6.
- Developing engaging practical and theoretical learning experiences aligned with NESA syllabus requirements.
- Supporting students in developing food preparation, nutrition, design and investigative skills.
- Promoting safe food handling and workplace health and safety practices.
- Using assessment data to inform teaching and support student growth.
- Maintaining a safe, organised and effective practical learning environment.
- Contributing to curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Building positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
- Participating in the broader life of the School through pastoral care and co-curricular activities.
Experience teaching Stage 6 Food Technology and preparing students for HSC success will be highly regarded.

- Experience teaching Food Technology in a secondary school setting.
- Strong knowledge of nutrition, food science, food preparation techniques and contemporary food issues.

Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants must possess:
- A Bachelor of Education, Master of Teaching or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Accreditation with the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA).
- A valid NSW Working With Children Check for paid employment.
- A current National Police Check.
- Eligibility to work in Australia.
