Headquartered in Broome, Western Australia, BRAMS provides holistic, culturally safe primary healthcare, aged care, and community programs to Aboriginal people throughout the Kimberley region.
With a robust focus on person‐centred, trauma‐informed, and culturally responsive care, BRAMS delivers services that are designed around the needs of Aboriginal individuals and families.

Your Next Role - Shape the Future of Aboriginal Health
BRAMS is seeking multipleFemale and Male Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) Workersto join theBroome‐based team.
Reporting to the Mental Health Manager, you will deliver culturally safe, trauma‐informed, and strengths‐based support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men or women, their families, and the broader community.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Delivering case management support tailored to community and individual needs
Conducting holistic assessments and developing goal‐centred case plans
Facilitating gender‐specific SEWB group sessions focused on healing and identity
Promoting education, help‐seeking behaviour, and mental health awareness
Working collaboratively with family violence practitioners, social workers,



and community service staff
Maintaining accurate records including case notes and referrals
Supporting ongoing quality improvement aligned with BRAMS' Model of Care
Working on the ground in Broome with no external travel required

You'll join atight‐knit team of eight, including social workers and family violence practitioners, all working together to support healing and resilience.
Led by asupportive, client‐focused Mental Health Manager, the team thrives on collaboration, shared knowledge, and respect.
With amanageable caseload of around 20 clients, and the opportunity to runyarning circles and group sessions, you'll have the time and support to build real relationships and deliver care that truly makes a difference, not just in the moment, but for generations to come.

To qualify, you must identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and hold (or be willing to obtain) aCertificate IV or Diplomain Community Services, Counselling, Mental Health, or a related field.

If you've just finished your studies, BRAMS will provide support and training to help you thrive.
Additionally, the following experience and skills will be highly regarded:
Experience working within Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations
Knowledge of trauma‐informed care, SEWB principles, and community engagement
Excellent communication and relationship‐building skills
Familiarity with service networks and supports in the Kimberley region
