Randstad are seeking Road Maintenance Workers for our client who delivers road maintenance services across Melbourne's metropolitan road network. Depots are based in Dandenong or Lilydale location.
Pay starts from $37 per hour however emergency call outs means you will get penalty rates.
The role
Carry out road maintenance activities such as pothole and pavement repairs, minor asphalt works, shoulder and roadside maintenance, drainage and pit maintenance, debris and obstacle removal, vegetation-related maintenance, sign and roadside asset repairs, and other general road maintenance tasks within competency.
Assist with hazard response and make-secure activities, including after-hours and emergency works where rostered or directed.
Set up and maintain protected work areas and work with approved traffic management arrangements.
Operate vehicles, plant, tools and equipment safely and complete required pre-start and operational checks.
Report changed site conditions,
additional defects, access constraints, quality issues or work that cannot be completed as planned.
Maintain vehicles, plant, tools, depots and work areas in a clean, secure and serviceable condition.
What you need
Current Victorian Driver Licence.
Construction Induction Card (White Card).
Certificate II or III in Civil Construction / Road Construction and Maintenance (desirable).
Traffic Management qualifications appropriate to duties (desirable).
Medium Rigid or Heavy Rigid Driver Licence (desirable).
Relevant plant and equipment tickets / competencies (desirable).
