About the role
Carey Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the team and support the successful delivery of a project located in the Goldfields region of Western Australia. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager looking to contribute to a significant resources project while working with a growing and dynamic organisation.
Key responsibilities:
Develop detailed project plans including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure successful project outcomes.
Efficiently allocate and manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
Enforce stringent safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry regulations to maintain a secure working environment.
Identify potential project risks and develop effective mitigation strategies to minimise disruptions and delays.
Maintain transparent and consistent communication with project stakeholders, including clients, team members, and senior management.
Ensure project deliverables meet the highest quality standards and align with company and industry specifications.
Monitor project expenses and implement cost-saving measures to uphold project profitability.
Provide regular project status reports to senior management, offering insights into progress, challenges, and proposed solutions.
Experience:
A minimum of 5+ years’ experience in open cut mining or civil mining.
Understand, interpret, and implement the Work Health and Safety Act 2020 & Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022.
Experience in mining and/ civil mining technologies and leading multi-disciplinary teams.
Experience in contract management gained in a mining/civil mining contractual environment.
Skills/Qualifications:
Quarry Manager Ticket (Essential).
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced workplace.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
What’s on Offer:
Permanent full-time position.
FIFO Roster: 8 days on, followed by 6 days off.
