About the role

This is a Cafe Food Preparation and Customer Service role at Yummy Cannoli. You will prepare panini, sandwiches and other cafe menu items consistently and efficiently, following established recipes, presentation standards and portion sizes. You will serve customers in a friendly and professional manner, take orders and operate the point-of-sale system. You will maintain a clean, organised and hygienic food-preparation area, complete general cleaning duties, restock supplies, and monitor stock levels. You will work closely with the cafe and production teams during busy periods and assist with opening and closing duties where required.

Key responsibilities
Prepare panini, sandwiches and other cafe menu items consistently and efficiently
Prepare ingredients, including slicing, portioning, labelling and storing food correctly
Follow Yummy Cannoli recipes, presentation standards and portion sizes
Serve customers in a friendly and professional manner when required
Take customer orders and operate the point-of-sale system
Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic food-preparation area




Complete general cleaning duties, including dishes, equipment, benches and floors
Restock ingredients, packaging, drinks and other cafe supplies
Monitor stock levels and advise management when items need to be reordered
Follow food-safety, allergen-management and workplace health and safety procedures

About you

Valid working rights in Australia
Confidence working in a busy, quick-paced food workplace
Positive communication and teamwork skills
Strong attention to cleanliness, hygiene and food presentation
Ability to follow recipes, portion sizes and instructions accurately
Ability to work on your feet for most of the shift
Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position, including carrying stock and completing cleaning duties
Availability to work during the required rostered hours, including early starts or weekends where applicable
