We are hiring a fast‐learner with a "how can I help?" attitude who will support our People Operations team to deliver projects that eliminate friction, amplify community and set our people up for success.
Working under the Senior People Operations Manager, you will have the opportunity to make a big impact in a lean,high‐growthstartup.
What you'll be doing
Help hiring managers recruit top talent by coordinating recruitment processes and hosting screening interviews
Design and coordinate regular company‐wide events
Manage the back‐end of our HRIS, Rippling
Facilitate onboarding and offboarding of employees
Respond to employee queries via Inbox and Slack
Create process and educational documentation to create a more 'self‐service' employee & manager experience
Assist the People Ops team with ad‐hoc projects as they arise
What boxes you should tick (mostly)
Experience in People Operations (HR) and Talent Acquisition
Experience managing an HRIS and ATS (back‐end)
Outstanding written & verbal communication skills
Ability to conduct interviews and quickly form judgments on candidate suitability
Ability to manipulate and analyse data for reporting
Basic understanding of Australian employment law
Proven ability to work cross‐functionally and build trust with internal stakeholders




Experience coordinating events that build company culture
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Nice to haves
Prior experience at a growing company, a start‐up, or a tech company
Passionate about technology, energy and/or the workplace
Experience hiring technical roles (software engineers, product managers, etc.)

?Salary range is between $90,000 and $115,000 per annum plus superannuation.
All roles at Amber include employee stock options over and above the base salary and superannuation.
This is afull‐time role, to be based ideally from Melbourne.
We are also open to you working 4 days a week, 9 days a fortnight or other suitable flexible arrangements.
For those based in Sydney or elsewhere in Australia, you will work from home.
Hiring Process
- Screening interview with our talent team
- Take‐home project to complete
- Follow‐up interview with the Hiring Manager and People Ops team
- Culture interview with two of our Amber Culture Champs
- Final chat with our co‐CEO and a member of Exec
