About the role

Colonial Freight Lines is seeking an experienced Truck & Trailer mechanic or Trades Assistant (TA) to join our growing team in Maddington, Western Australia. This is a full time position that will play a key role in all of our maintenance and repair operations.

What you'll be doing
Carrying out maintenance and repairs to our fleet of commercial on-highway trucks and trailers
Performing everything from servicing tasks and minor repairs to major repairs on both trucks and different types of trailers
Essential experience with Trucks and Trailer servicing and repairs required for this position.
Identifying and reporting any issues or faults with the vehicles
Ensuring the workshop is kept clean, organised, and compliant with safety standards
Providing general support to the maintenance team as needed

What we're looking for
Experience working on trucks and trailers in a qualified or trades assistant role within the transport industry
Must have prior experience working with truck and trailer repairs is required.
Positive mechanical aptitude and the ability to follow instructions closely




Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship
A team-oriented attitude and the ability to work collaboratively with other staff
A valid manual driver's licence and the ability to operate light vehicles
Australian citizenship is required for this role.
