This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and motivated chef to showcase their skills in a luxury hotel environment, delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests while working alongside a talented and supportive culinary team.

About the Role

As a Demi Chef, you will play an important role in the daily operations of the kitchen by:
Preparing, cooking and presenting high-quality dishes for In Room Dining and Breakfast service
Assisting in the development of creative menus and new dishes
Ensuring all food is prepared and presented in line with Shangri-La Sydney standards and procedures
Supporting the smooth operation of the kitchen and maintaining quality across all service periods




Monitoring kitchen equipment and reporting repair or maintenance requirements to the Chef de Partie
Maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety and hygiene

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Certificate in Commercial Cookery
Full Australian working rights
Previous experience within a hotel, restaurant or similar rapid-paced kitchen environment
A genuine passion for food, presentation and guest experience
Solid teamwork skills with a positive and professional attitude
The ability to thrive in a busy service workplace
