About the role

George’s Paragon Restaurant is one of Queensland’s most iconic dining destinations, renowned for premium seafood, Mediterranean-inspired cuisine, and exceptional service.

Located on the Gold Coast, we pride ourselves on delivering outstanding dining experiences through fresh ingredients, creative dishes, and a skilled team environment.

We are currently seeking experienced Cooks to join our busy kitchen team.

Cook Positions

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to menu specifications
Supervise and coordinate kitchen operations during service
Monitor stock levels, ordering, and cost control
Ensure food quality, portion consistency, and presentation standards
Train, mentor, and support junior kitchen staff
Maintain strict hygiene, safety, and HACCP compliance
Contribute to menu planning and daily specials

Skills & Experience:
Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification)
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Chef in a busy restaurant workplace
Sound knowledge of seafood and Mediterranean cuisine highly regarded
Strong organisational and leadership skills




Excellent communication and ability to perform under pressure

Cook Positions

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook menu items following established recipes and standards
Ensure dishes are prepared efficiently and presented consistently
Assist with stock rotation, kitchen cleanliness, and daily prep
Follow all food safety and workplace health and safety procedures
Work collaboratively with the team during service

Skills & Experience:
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification)
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a commercial kitchen
Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety practices
Ability to work in a rapid-paced, team-oriented environment
Reliable, punctual, and passionate about food quality

Pay: $80,000.00 – $94,999.00 per year
