A major bank is seeking an Azure DevOps Engineer with solid AKS expertise to join a customer reliability engineering team on a 12-month contract.Role can be based in Sydney or Melbourne- 2 days a week in the office

Key responsibilities
Engineer, automate and support Azure cloud infrastructure with a strong focus on AKS.
Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines that enable reliable, repeatable and secure delivery.
Build and enhance Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
Contribute to customer reliability engineering outcomes, improving resilience, availability and performance.
Work closely with platform, engineering and reliability teams to uplift automation and operational maturity.
Apply robust engineering practices to solve platform challenges, avoiding manual or reactive operations where automation is possible.

Key Skills / Experience




Strong hands-on Azure cloud engineering experience.
Deep AKS experience, including platform build, administration, troubleshooting and optimisation.
Solid automation and engineering capability across cloud infrastructure environments.
Strong Terraform and Infrastructure as Code experience.
Experience working in an SRE, reliability engineering or platform engineering environment is highly desirable.
Background in large enterprise environments; experience within a top-tier banking or financial services workplace will be highly regarded.
