Macs Engineering is currently looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Sheetmetal Worker to join their team in Mackay QLD.

The successful applicant will need to possess and undertake:
Have a willingness to work with solid attention to detail
Be punctual and responsible
Proficiency in both MIG and TIG welding
Ability to read and interpret drawings to fine specifications
Experience in handling a range of materials, including difficult materials
Experience with materials such as steel, aluminium & polymer
Cutting material, weld prep, grinding
Adherence to WHS
Select types of sheetmetal according to building or design plans
Measure and mark dimensions and reference lines on metal sheets
Duct fabrication in some roles
Install metal sheets with supportive frameworks




Fabricate or alter parts at construction sites
Manoeuvre and anchor large sheet metal parts

Skills & Attributes:
At least 3 years’ experience in steel/aluminium sheetmetal and/or duct fabrication
Certificate III in Engineering (Fabrication) or equivalent
Ability to work in a team workplace

Salary range is $70,000-$85,000pa commensurate with experience.

Fulltime Position available.
