Port Pirie Regional Health Service is seeking a Registered Nurse to join C Ward on a contract basis. C Ward is a busy surgical and maternity unit providing care across orthopaedic, general, urology, gynaecology, and ENT procedures, alongside maternity support and acute convalescent care. You'll work as part of a small, team-oriented team where RNs take charge when paired with Enrolled Nurses, managing patient care from admission through recovery and discharge planning.
Lead a diverse surgical and maternity ward with autonomy and clinical responsibility
Work across orthopaedic, general, urology, gynaecology, and ENT specialties in a regional health setting
Collaborate with midwifery teams, palliative care specialists, and acute care coordinators with easy access to expert support

Preferred Requirements




Demonstrated competence in cannulation and venipuncture
Experience in surgical nursing, including post-operative patient management and wound care
Ability to work effectively as charge nurse when paired with an Enrolled Nurse
Solid communication skills and comfort liaising with midwifery, palliative care, and medical teams
Flexibility to work across early, late, and night shifts as required

Preferred Qualifications
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse in Australia
Post-operative or surgical nursing experience preferred
Current CPR and First Aid certification
