The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and commercially astuteAssociate Directorto join our Business Services & Tax division in our Sydney CBD office.
This is a senior leadership role responsible for managing a significant client portfolio, driving strategic growth initiatives, and mentoring high-performing teams within a dynamic, growth-focused environment.
As a key member of the leadership team, you will work closely with Partners to deliver high-level tax advisory and business services solutions to a diverse client base including SMEs, private groups, high-net-worth individuals, and emerging corporates.
Key Responsibilities
Client Leadership & Advisory
Manage and grow a substantial portfolio of business services and tax clients
Provide strategic tax planning and advisory across areas including:
Income tax
CGT
Div 7A
Trust structuring
Small business concessions
Business restructuring and succession planning
Review complex financial statements and income tax returns
Act as a trusted advisor to business owners and key stakeholders
Identify value-add advisory opportunities and cross-sell firm services
Leadership & Team Development
Lead, mentor and develop Managers and Senior Accountants




Oversee workflow management, WIP control and billing performance
Drive a high-performance culture aligned with firm values
Contribute to recruitment and succession planning initiatives
Commercial & Strategic Contribution
Support Partners with strategic planning and growth initiatives
Drive business development through networking and relationship management
Strengthen referral networks across legal, banking and finance sectors
Maintain strong risk management and compliance standards
About You
8–12+ years' experience within public practice (mid-tier or large boutique preferred)
Demonstrated experience managing a sizeable client portfolio
Strong technical expertise in Australian taxation
Proven leadership capability with experience managing and mentoring teams
Commercially minded with robust business development acumen
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
