About the Role

An exciting chance has become available for an experienced Payroll Officer to join a supportive and collaborative payroll team on a temporary contract. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll while providing excellent service to employees and key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
End-to-end payroll processing
Processing new starters, terminations and employee variations
Managing leave calculations, including annual leave, personal leave and long service leave
Interpreting Modern Awards, Enterprise Agreements and payroll legislation
Responding to payroll enquiries and managing the payroll inbox




Maintaining accurate employee records and ensuring payroll compliance
Providing exceptional customer service to employees and internal stakeholders

Skills and Experience
Previous experience in an end-to-end payroll position within a medium to large organisation
Solid knowledge of Australian payroll legislation
Experience interpreting Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements
Exposure to large payroll systems
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
High attention to detail with the ability to work accurately and meet deadlines
