Chef – Oasis @ Newman (Pilbara, WA)

Due to a recent expansion (now ~850 rooms), we’re growing our kitchen team and have a rare chance for an experienced Chef to join us.

About the Role

You’ll be working in a high-volume kitchen servicing workforce accommodation, delivering consistent, high-quality meals across breakfast and dinner service.

We’re looking for someone who:
Has solid experience in a commercial kitchen
Thrives in a quick-paced, high-volume workplace

Responsibilities/Tasks:




Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs and ordering food supplies
Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
Discussing food preparation issues with Managers, other chefs, kitchen and waiting staff
Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures
Preparing and cooking food
Explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations
Training other staff
Freezing and preserving foods

Requirements
AQF Associate Degreem Advanced Diploma or Diploma OR
Relevant commercial kitchen experience - 3 +years
Current Police Clearance (or ability to obtain)
