We are currently partnering with a large, well-established organisation to secure multiple Payroll Officers for short-term support across critical pay cycles. These roles are suited to payroll professionals who can step in quickly, adapt to a fast-moving setting, and contribute from day one.

With a sizeable, shift-based workforce and recent system pressures, the payroll team requires additional hands-on support to ensure accurate and timely processing.

The Opportunity Working closely with the Payroll Manager and a cooperative team, you will play a key role in maintaining payroll operations during a busy period. Depending on your experience, your responsibilities may include:
Processing payroll for a large workforce (approx. 12,000 employees)
Managing end-to-end payroll activities or supporting specific stages of the cycle
Handling payroll adjustments, corrections, and remediation tasks
Interpreting awards, EBAs, and complex pay conditions
Calculating shift penalties, loadings, and allowances (including meals and uniforms)
Validating payroll data and assisting with reconciliations




Responding to employee queries in a timely and accurate manner

About You
Hands-on experience using Dayforce
Able to start immediately or within a very short timeframe
Comfortable working in high-volume, roster-driven environments
Solid attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities
Confident working in a business-critical function with tight deadlines

Additionally valued:
Experience in aged care or similar workforce environments
Flexibility to support varied hours, including weekends if required
Ability to obtain or hold a current police check
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
