Verification & Validation Team Lead – Sydney

As an experienced Verification & Validation Team Lead, you'll be responsible for building and managing a dedicated team of engineers, ensuring the highest standards of quality and reliability for cutting-edge electro/mechanical/software devices and systems.

Responsibilities
Lead the V&V; engineering team to define, plan and execute verification and validation activities across product releases.
Establish and maintainVCRM (Verification & Compliance Requirements Matrix)linking system requirements to validation outcomes.
Developtest strategies, plans, procedures and acceptance criteriaaligned with systems and customer requirements.
Manageintegration, system, and acceptance testingacross hardware, firmware and software components.
Coordinate lab and field testing by ensuring data collection, analysis and reporting meet program expectations.
Work closely with QA, Software and T&E; teams to ensure coverage across all test levels.
Oversee defect management, triage and retest cycles ensuring closure within release timelines.
Contribute to process improvement,



tool selection and automation initiatives within the V&V; domain.
Mentor and up‐skill team members in test methodologies, systems engineering practices and documentation discipline.
Provide periodic reports to program management on test progress, coverage and readiness.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree inengineering, computer science or a related discipline.
8+ years of experience insystem testing, verification or validation, with at least 2 years in aleadershipcapacity.
Solid understanding ofsystems engineering principlesandrequirements‐based testing.
Experience withhardware‐in‐the‐loop (HIL)andsystem integration testing.
Hands‐on experience withtest management tools(e.g., Jira, XRay, TestRail) anddefect trackingprocesses.
Working knowledge ofPython, C/C++, or scriptingfor test automation and data validation preferred.
Excellent communication, documentation and stakeholder management skills.
Exposure toembedded systems, sensor fusion or autonomous platforms.
Experience infield validationof mission‐critical or safety‐critical systems.
Background inmodel‐based testingorsimulation environments.
Exposure to programming languages such as python andautomation frameworks.
