About the Role

This role is ideal for a technically strong payroll professional who enjoys leading from the front. You'll take ownership of the end-to-end delivery of a complex payroll and provide day-to-day guidance and support to a small payroll team.

We're looking for someone with strong payroll technical capabilities, a deep understanding of Australian payroll legislation, and the confidence to manage complex payroll scenarios with accuracy and attention to detail. Alongside payroll delivery, you'll contribute to payroll reporting, reconciliations, stakeholder support and the ongoing smooth running of the payroll function.

Key Responsibilities




Lead the end-to-end delivery of a fortnightly payroll
Manage, mentor and support a small payroll team
Ensure compliance with PAYG, Superannuation and Payroll Tax obligations
Prepare payroll reporting and reconciliations
Resolve complex payroll queries and issues
Maintain payroll data integrity and accuracy
Work closely with internal stakeholders to support payroll outcomes

Skills & Experience
Proven experience leading payroll operations
Strong payroll technical expertise and problem-solving ability
Excellent understanding of Australian payroll legislation and compliance
Strong reconciliation and reporting capability
Experience with payroll systems and payroll-related projects
Team-oriented, hands-on leadership style
