The Union Hotel Wagga Wagga is a well-known and much-loved local venue offering quality pub dining, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere. We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Chef to join our busy kitchen team. This is a great chance for someone passionate about food and committed to delivering consistently high-quality meals.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, cook, and present menu items to a high standard across all sections of the kitchen.
Ensure consistent food quality, portion control, and presentation.
Assist with menu planning, specials, and recipe development.
Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment at all times.
Follow and uphold all food safety, hygiene, and WHS requirements.
Support the Head Chef and kitchen leadership in day-to-day operations.
Monitor stock levels, manage rotation, and assist with ordering to minimise wastage.
Train and support junior kitchen team members when required.
Work collaboratively with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service.

About You:




Previous experience as a Chef in a restaurant, pub, or high-volume kitchen workplace.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
Excellent teamwork, communication, and organisational skills.
Commitment to high standards of food quality and cleanliness.
Flexibility to work a rotating roster including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
Relevant cookery qualification preferred.
