The Company

Our client is an established and growing not-for-profit organisation. They are based on the Northern Beaches and accessible by public transport. They are going through a significant operational change to positively transform and shape the finance function. Our client is passionate about their cause for helping vulnerable members of society and they do possess a collaborative, low-hierarchy and friendly environment with a solid work ethic. Their leadership team is approachable and keen on building a robust future. Additionally, they also do offer some flexibility for hybrid WFH arrangement after training.

The Role

This is a permanent and full time Financial Accountant position where you will be responsible for the following:
End-to-end month-end close process (journals, accruals, prepayments, lease accounting, fixed assets, bank recs, revenue recognition)




Preparing monthly financial statements like cash flow reports, balance sheet and P&L; statement
Assist with audit and prepare statutory accounts
Back up for the payroll function

Your Background

We are looking for candidates who fit the following profile:
More than 3 years of local working experience as a Financial Accountant
Strong month end processes and reporting experience
Prior experience and willingness to establish financial processes, work papers and guidelines
Possess excellent written and verbal English communication skills to deal with stakeholders
Desire to work for a growing not-for-profit organisation
