A well-known Australian retail brand is looking for an Inventory Analyst to join its Planning and Merchandise team, playing a key role in ensuring optimum product availability across its store network.

This role sits at the intersection of merchandise, retail and the distribution centre, acting as the central point for allocation and replenishment decisions that directly shape store performance and sales.

About The Role
Execute accurate, timely allocation of the merchandise range plan, using subcategory analysis to maximise stock availability
Coordinate recent store openings, building product assortment to support successful launches
Manage replenishment levels in response to VM changes, window launches and shifting sales trends
Produce and distribute weekly stock management reporting, identifying issues and opportunities through ad hoc and focus store analysis
Act as the key interface between retail, merchandise and DC teams,



resolving store inventory queries and influencing stock decisions in trade and VM allocation meetings

About You
Experience in allocations, with a solid understanding of inventory management at both a store and company level
Confident analysing sales, inventory and forecasting data to inform allocation and replenishment decisions
Robust written and verbal communication skills, with a genuine emphasis on problem-solving
Comfortable working across multiple stakeholders — Planning, Merchandise, DC, Regional and Store Management teams
Organised and detail-focused, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines accurately

This is an opportunity to play a genuinely influential role in how product reaches stores — with visibility across the full range plan lifecycle, from allocation through to in-season trade. You'll work closely with Planning, Merchandise and Store teams, building your understanding of the business end-to-end within an established, well-known retail brand.
