About the role
Step into a rewarding role as a Nursing Assistant where you will bring excellent customer-facing skills and a genuine passion to deliver an exceptional service to our donors.
You will play a key role in supporting our donors through their donation process.
Full training is provided so, along with the above, all you need is the curiosity and motivation to learn the process of collecting blood and biological product.
This role requires you to work in our static Orange Donor Centre, as well as our Mobile Unit.
Whilst working on the Mobile Unit, regional travel and overnight stays will be required (no more than 1 week at a time).
A day in the role could see you:
Greet and interview potential donors to understand their eligibility and suitability to donate
Complete routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests
Set up machines and collections equipment
Insert and remove needles safely to collect whole blood, plasma, and platelets
Monitor donors post-donation and assist them with rebooking their next donation
Work collaboratively to achieve collection targets




Travelling regional NSW to collect life-saving donations
Besides having a real passion to deliver an exceptional donor experience, you'll need to be able to:
Be comfortable with needles and blood/biological materials
Occasionally lift between ******kgs
Frequently stand, walk and bend to set up and pack down machines and blood products
Be flexible to work varied shifts on a fortnightly rotating roster from Monday to Saturday (we are currently open every second Friday and Saturday only)
