Cafe Sydney is hiring Full Time Food & Beverage Attendants to join our Front of House team as Food Runners!

Established in ****, we have been delivering an elevated à la carte experience that captures the spirit of Sydney, with a modern Australian menu, an awarded wine list and exceptional, contemporary hospitality.
Operating seven days a week, we serve lunch and dinner Monday to Saturday, with a relaxed lunch service on Sundays.
Our team of more than 150 hospitality professionals work together across front and back-of-house to create memorable experiences for every guest.

The Role
We are seeking a Food & Beverage Attendant to join our Front of House team as a Food Runner.
Working at the pass, you will support our waiters by ensuring dishes are delivered promptly, accurately and with care, playing an essential role in the guest experience.
This role is available on a full-time (or possibly part‐time basis, pending interest), paid hourly under our Enterprise Agreement.
It is an excellent entry point into premium dining, with progression opportunities for those who demonstrate skill, initiative and a passion for hospitality.
As part of your training,



you will develop a strong understanding of food safety standards and the sequence of service that underpins our dining experience.
Responsibilities Include
Running food from the pass to guests with accuracy, efficiency and attention to detail
Supporting waiters in delivering a seamless guest experience
Assisting with table maintenance and resetting between courses
Ensuring explicit communication between the kitchen and front-of-house teams
Applying food safety standards and understanding sequence of service expectations
Upholding Cafe Sydney's standards of professionalism and guest care
About You
Previous experience in a high-volume restaurant is preferred but not essential
A positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn are key
Ability to work efficiently in a fast‐paced team environment
Must hold a current RSA (or be willing to obtain prior to commencement)
Successful candidates will also be required to complete the NSW Food Authority Food Handler Basics training
Must have full working rights in Australia (visa sponsorship is not available for this role)
Availability across lunch and dinner shifts, including weekdays and weekends
