In this casual role, you will conduct on-site nutrition assessments in aged-care homes across metropolitan Melbourne.
You will gain experience in dietary assessment, data management and clinical research within a leading bone health team.
You will work mainly on weekdays, up to four days weekly, with schedules set by data collection requirements.
What you will deliver:
Conduct dietary, nutrition, satisfaction and quality of life assessments in older adults living in aged-care homes, following study protocols precisely.
Record, manage and enter dietary intake data into Xyris FoodWorks and associated systems with strong attention to accuracy.
Coordinate travel, assessment schedules and equipment preparation to meet variable weekday data collection timelines.
Guide volunteer nutrition assessment staff, ensuring consistent protocol application and safe practice in aged-care settings.
Participate in Bone Health team meetings, sharing observations and issues to support high-quality research outcomes.
You may be a great fit if you:
Hold or are progressing towards a nutrition or dietetics degree with food intake recording experience.
Demonstrate strong organisational skills, managing a variable weekday schedule up to four days per week.
Communicate clearly and sensitively with aged-care residents, families, staff and multidisciplinary research colleagues.

document and report nutrition assessments while reliably adhering to study protocols and confidentiality requirements.
Use Xyris FoodWorks, MS Office and internet tools confidently for data entry, analysis and secure data transfer.
Meet clinical research requirements, including driver's license, police check, immunisations, own transport, laptop and camera.

The team investigates how nutrition and exercise influence bone strength, partnering closely with aged-care homes and clinicians.
