Weare seeking an Accountant to join our Finance team and play a key role in supporting the financial operations of the Local Organising Committee.
About the Role
Reporting to the GM Finance, youwillbe responsible forfinancial reporting, reconciliations, budgeting and forecasting, compliance activities, andprovidingvaluable financial insights to support tournament delivery.
In particular you will :
Prepare monthly financial and management reports
Manage reconciliations, journals, fixedassetsand financial records
Support budgeting,forecastingand cash flow analysis
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, GST, BAS, FBT and audit requirements
Contribute to process improvements and financial controls
Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to support successful tournament delivery
About You
Skills & Experience Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting,financeor related discipline
Minimum 2 years' accounting or finance experience
Strong financial reporting and analytical skills
Intermediate to advanced Excel capability
High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
Highly regarded:
Experience with Xero andCalxa
Experience in sport, events, or not-for-profit organisations
