About the role
1 Fixed Term, Full-Time position available from September **** until 30 June ****
Working as part of a team in a 24/7 shift work environment, the Incident Response Officer monitors security for over **** schools across Victoria.
You will be responsible for making a real impact to continuity of learning and safety by monitoring alarms, responding to incidents, raising work orders and other response services to minimise the loss or damage of school equipment and infrastructure.
Key Duties
Interpret alarm activations and exercise judgement in dispatching security service providers and/or police
Actively contribute to a positive team setting and culture
Coach, mentor and train more junior incident response officers
Oversee more complex security related issues
Liaise with security service providers and school leaders regarding alarm activations and other security and safety incidents.
Liaise and provide support with alarm system technicians working on sites
Liaise with other emergency services in relation to emergencies at schools
Preparing and disseminating Incident Reports
Have additional responsibility in portfolios within the Unit, as assigned by team leaders/managers
Requirements
24/7 shift work on a rotating roster
Preferred applicants may be required to complete a police check and may be subject to other pre-employment checks.
