We are looking for a Sleepover Recovery Worker to work in a recovery-oriented program offering support for people experiencing mental health challenges.
This is a part-time chance (5 or 6 nights per fortnight) with access to development / training opportunities.
From $***** per hour + penalty rates + superannuation + salary packaging benefits.
About the opportunity.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support participants engaged in the service and build skilled, trusting relationships and empower them along their journey towards recovery.
The Sleepover Recovery Worker role is integral to the PARC program as it involves working closely with participants to support healthy evening routines whilst at PARC.
As a Sleepover Recovery Worker, you will use your skills to approach situations with a calming lens, have the ability to support people as they wind down for the night or just sit quietly with someone and connect in moments of need.
You will have a good sense of how to address emerging risks and support people through potential distress.

PARCs operate 24/7 and availability to work according to a rotating fortnightly roster, including shifts on weekends, is essential for this role.
Sleepover shifts are active from Sun to Thurs 5:30pm/ Fri & Sat 6:30pm to 12am, then sleepover (with the ability to wake up and convert to active if required)



and active again from 8am - Mon to Fri 9am / Sat & Sun 10am to support early morning routines and provide a handover.
Penalty rates apply for afternoon, evening and weekend hours.
Completion of studies in Mental Health, AOD, Community Services or related field (min Cert 4 or above) or qualifications in a social science (social work, occupational therapy, nursing or psychology).
Current valid Driver's Licence and the ability to undertake some travel.
Evidence of the right to work in Australia.
Evidence of, or a willingness to obtain a National Police Records Check, Working with Children Check - Employee, NDIS Worker Screening Check and NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate.
Experience in the field of mental health, community services or disability (highly desirable).
Current first aid certificate (desirable) or willingness to undertake.

PARCs are located in a community setting and provide an option for people who are becoming unwell, or who are in the early stages of recovery from an acute illness and need a short period of additional support to strengthen their gains from spending time in an inpatient setting and to consolidate their community transition and recovery treatment plans.
