Downer is seeking skilled Heavy Diesel Mechanics, Technicians, or Fitters to join our team in Swanbank, QLD.
This hybrid role offers the best of both worlds: workshop‐based maintenance and the variety of field service.
One day you'll be in the workshop, the next you'll be on site diagnosing faults and keeping projects moving.

Key Responsibilities
Service, repair, and maintain heavy plant machinery and trucks
Diagnose and resolve breakdowns in the field




Ensure all work meets Downer's high safety and operational standards
Work collaboratively within a skilled team while also operating independently
About You
Trade qualification in Heavy Diesel Mechanics, Plant Mechanics, or Fitting (essential)
Strong hydraulic knowledge and diagnostic skills
Experience with mobile plant, trucks, and heavy equipment
Auto electrical experience (highly regarded)
HR and Forklift licences (desirable)
A proactive approach and commitment to safety
