About the Opportunity
Reporting to the General Manager, our Maintenance Officer is responsible for delivering general maintenance and repairs of buildings, fixtures and fittings, Homes and associated structures in accordance with the Home Maintenance Plan to provide a pleasant and safe workplace for residents, staff and visitors.
Manage and undertake inspection & delivery of statutory, preventative & corrective maintenance of the facility Provide supervision and coordination of site contractors Ensure an aesthetic, compliant and protected working environment Ensure maintenance and repairs of property including facilities including cleaning, painting, lighting maintenance, TV installations, hanging paintings, disposal of rubbish, checking and maintaining air conditioning, tiling, basic plumbing, furniture removal, and general repairs Ensure planned maintenance of Home assets are executed in accordance with the Maintenance Plan and legislative requirements Ensure all maintenance activity complies with relevant legislation Use preferred suppliers where relevant and ensure all works are conducted within budget and follow workflow procedures Carry-out scheduled tasks within agreed timelines.
To be successful you will have:
Hands on experience of building maintenance work and procedures.
Min 2 years' experience in a similar role
Experience in Contractor Management
Experience in managing site maintenance budgets, work orders and requisitions
Ability to work effectively within a team workplace
Knowledge & application of relevant legislation requirements, codes & standards
Moderate Computer literacy
Current drivers' licence
A pre-employment medical assessment will be required for this role Prior to commencement - complete aNational PoliceCheckand or a NDIS Workers Check (or willingness to obtain)
