Veterinary Rehabilitation Technician Location: Victoria, BC Department: Rehabilitation and Sports Therapy Compensation: $***** to $***** per hour depending on experience and skills Schedule: This is a full time position.
Shifts may be 8-10 hours, 4-5 days per week.
Central Victoria Veterinary Hospital is looking for an experienced Veterinary Rehabilitation Technician to join our Rehabilitation and Sports Therapy Department!

Ft. facility.
Our Rehab department has a dedicated space with ample room for a variety of therapies!
This role will work closely with our board-certified sports medicine and rehabilitation specialist to provide excellent care to patients requiring this service.
The successful candidate will possess exceptional patient care, client communication and technical skills, as well as the ability to work independently.
Previous experience working in veterinary rehabilitation and sports medicine would be an asset but is not required.
Preference will be given to candidates who are working towards or already possess CCRP or CCRA designation.
Key Responsibilities
Previous veterinary experience (RVT, Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant)
Knowledge of various drugs used for analgesia, sedation and anesthesia
Ability to perform clinical procedures related to rehabilitation and sports therapy: laser therapy, shockwave, operate and maintain underwater treadmill, etc
Willing to enhance technical skills
Strong working knowledge of therapeutic exercises prescribed in rehabilitation and sports therapy, and the ability to discuss and demonstrate them to clients
Rehab certification (or interest in obtaining, or in the process of obtaining)
Experience with orthopedic and neurologic conditions




Basic knowledge of animal nutrition and the ability to guide clients in this area
Proven ability to keep accurate patient records
Ability to problem-solve and adjust priorities as necessary
Strong desire to connect with clients and build collaborative relationships for long-term patient care and support
Able to lift to 50 lbs and physically work with patients in various modalities (underwater treadmill, land exercises, etc)
