About This Opportunity

As the leader of the MD Curriculum and Assessment professional staff team, you will foster strong partnerships with clinical schools, academic colleagues, and professional staff across the Faculty and central University divisions to support the delivery of the Doctor of Medicine (MD) Program, ensuring excellence in teaching and assessment support, robust governance practices, and a high-quality student experience.
Working within a collaborative and purpose-driven community, you will influence strategic decision-making, foster a high-performing team culture, and enhance operational effectiveness through continuous improvement, streamlined processes, and exceptional service delivery.
This is an exciting opportunity for a visionary and experienced leader to contribute to a program that is nationally respected, student-centred, and committed to continuous improvement and educational excellence.
Key responsibilities will include: Leading and developing a high-performing professional team responsible for curriculum, assessment, and student progression across the MD Program, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Overseeing the successful planning and delivery of teaching and assessment support, ensuring compliance with University policies and procedures, accreditation standards, and program requirements.
Providing expert advice to academic and qualified staff colleagues on curriculum, assessment, governance, and student administration matters, while building strong and productive partnerships across the University.
Driving strategic initiatives, governance processes, and service excellence to enhance operational efficiency, optimise program delivery, and support the ongoing success and reputation of the Medical program.
This is a full-time, continuing position at HEW Level 8.
About You
Extensive experience in higher education administration, student services, or a similarly complex professional environment, supported by relevant postgraduate qualifications and/or equivalent experience.
Proven success leading and developing high-performing teams while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across academic, professional,



and external partner groups.
Strong knowledge of governance and student administration frameworks, including the interpretation and application of policies, procedures, and accreditation requirements.
Demonstrated ability to lead operational reviews, implement process improvements, and deliver high-quality services within a complex and fast-paced environment.
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, including experience using large administrative systems and data to support reporting, decision-making, and strategic initiatives.
The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including right to work in Australia and a criminal check.
