The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists for aSenior SMSF Accountantto take on a key role within the firm.
With approximately 200 high-quality SMSFs under management, the firm is seeking a capable professional who can deliver technical compliance while also enjoy the opportunity to delve intobusiness advisory/ services engagements (i.e. non-SMSF).
The successful candidate will be trained forteam supervision responsibilities, with a clear development pathway and mentorship from experienced leaders.
You will also work alongside an established offshore team to ensure efficiency in compliance delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end SMSF compliance, including financials, tax returns, and audit prep
Work directly with HNWI clients and their advisors to deliver tailored solutions
Contribute to the firm's business advisory projects (this is a core part of the role)
Review work completed by junior and offshore team members, providing feedback and support
Stay abreast of industry developments,



ensuring best practice standards are upheld
Assist in managing workflows and supporting the broader SMSF team's operational needs
About You
4-5+ years' experience in SMSF accounting within a public practice setting
CA/CPA qualified or close to completion
Proven experience managing a portfolio of SMSFs
Strong interest in business advisory work
Professional and articulate communicator, comfortable dealing with high-calibre clients
Eager to step into a leadership role and help mentor junior team members
